Nina is under new ownership (her fifth owner) and is now called Oriole.
We bought Nina because she's a wonderful boat for a couple to sail. Comfortable to be in, very sturdy, and fun to sail. The Flicka is the boat of dreams, a boat we admired for a long time.
Nina is one of the few Flickas currently cruising the East Coast of the U.S., and she's been well maintained, with low engine hours.
Ellen Dawson - June 2010
Renamed Nina from Moonshadow in 2009
Interior: Nina has a beautiful custom teak lined cabin. None of the original interior moulding is visible. An article about this was written in FF newsletter Volume 3,Issue 3.
She also has an Airhead toilet which is an ingenious composting toilet that has a self contained tank which can be emptied out when ashore. This head means you can do away with external pump-outs, sea cocks and holding tanks and recycle your waste properly.
Sail inventory: all sails tanbark except cruising spinnaker. Includes
mainsail, 100% jib, 140% genoa, staysail, storm jib, storm tri-sail,
cruising spinnaker with sock.
