I bought the boat about three years ago on the Jersey coast. She had been on the hard for 3 years and the previous owner had neglected her. I had her trucked down to Florida and sailed her on the Atlantic, St. Johns River, and Lake Crescent. I am unfortunately selling her because I cannot take her offshore at this time in my life; I am going to downsize to a Seapearl and trailer more. She is in good condition , on the hard, but ready to sail. I can deliver her on her bottom or possibly trailer her to her new location ,if preferred.
Last summer I sandblasted her bottom,( blisters, no clue why but I have some guesses) dried her out, ground, glassed, and epoxy filled. Then 3 coats of epoxy for barrier coat , then 2 coats of coldtar (sp?) and then 2 coats of bottom paint. Sails are good with batten main and 4 headsails, mast and boom good, new tiller. Interior is basic open plan with porta potty, replaced main (large) portholes (2), replaced forward hatch, added compression post (removable) , rig is good, rudder good, bowsprit good, new lifelines, stanchions good, 3 anchors, new mainsail cover, new boom tent awning, good Johnson Seahorse Longshaft outboard, cushions good, there is no headliner on the cabin head. On a scale from 1-10, I would give her a 7, (she is priced to reflect this). I absolutely love the Flicka and I will once again, someday, buy another.
Please feel free to call me for more info .
Thank you,
Joe Kimberley
